The joint commissions certification programs are designed to evaluate clinical programs across the continuum of care. After earning accreditation or certification health care organizations receive the gold seal of approval from the joint commission. Accreditation and certification require an on site evaluation by the joint commission. As a candidate for the certified joint commission professional examination you have one year from the date of your application to schedule and take the examination or you will forfeit your fees and will need to reapply.
